Remix Community Guidelines
Welcome to Remix. Our community guidelines are designed to foster a space where artistic and creative expression flourishes while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all users. This dual goal presents unique challenges: while we embrace diverse perspectives on what is beautiful, intriguing, inspiring, or simply entertaining — we also recognize that some content can be perceived as offensive, inappropriate, or harmful. In addition to striking this delicate balance, we recognize that art's role in society often involves challenging the status quo and provoking thoughtful discussion.
In formulating these guidelines, our priority is to nurture a welcoming community for everyone. Therefore, we prohibit certain behaviors and language that could undermine this goal. While we understand there might be differing opinions on these rules, we urge respect for our collective effort to maintain a positive and supportive environment.
Creative expression is encouraged at Remix; however, it must be exercised with consideration and respect for others. Non-compliance with the following guidelines may result in a notification to align with our standards, deletion of offending posts without warning, suspension of content creation and sharing privileges, or a complete ban from Remix.
Respect and Kindness: Always treat all members of the Remix community with kindness and respect. Refrain from using prompts, creating images, or posting comments that are disrespectful, aggressive, or abusive. Any form of violence or harassment is strictly prohibited.
Appropriate Content: Avoid creating or sharing content that includes explicit adult themes, excessive gore, or anything that may be visually shocking or disturbing. We employ automatic filters to block certain types of text inputs to maintain this standard.
Creative Freedom and Responsibility: We trust our users to use their creativity responsibly. Feel free to engage with satire, humor, and memes as you explore the boundaries of art and expression. While we celebrate the fun and vibrancy of diverse content, we rely on you to avoid spreading misinformation or creating malicious content.
Respect for Public Figures: Be mindful when creating content involving celebrities or other public figures. Avoid content that could be harmful, misleading, or invasive of privacy. This includes deepfakes, manipulated images, or content that could be construed as defamatory or harassing. We encourage creativity, but it’s important to consider the impact on the reputations and rights of those depicted.
Hate Speech and Discrimination: Content that promotes or incites hate speech or discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, disability, or any other personal characteristic is strictly prohibited. Our community is one of inclusivity and respect for diversity.
Sexual Content and Exploitation: Do not use Remix to create or share images or prompts that depict explicit sexual content, sexual exploitation, or victimization. Avoid content that inappropriately emphasizes sexual aspects of individuals. And, no sexualizing of celebrities or known people.
Violence and Cruelty: Content that portrays extreme violence or cruelty towards people or animals is prohibited. This includes both real and fictional scenarios.
Spam and Irrelevant Content: Do not spam or post content that is unlikely to be of interest to the broader Remix community. Keep your contributions relevant and engaging.
Intellectual Property Respect: If you repost, or reuse in any way, creations from the Remix community, you must provide proper credit or attribution to the original creator. Respect the intellectual property of others as you would expect yours to be respected.
Considerate Sharing: While we encourage you to share your creations outside Remix, please consider how your content might be perceived in different contexts. Be mindful of the broader impact your art and creativity may have.
Additional Guidelines for Using Remix
Age Appropriateness: Remix is designed for users aged 12 and above, as available on the App Store and Play Store. We are committed to maintaining a platform that is suitable and safe for this age group.
Editorial Oversight: We exercise editorial judgment on prominent public features like Daily Remix, which attracts a wide audience. Content featured here must strictly adhere to our community guidelines to ensure appropriateness for all users.
Compliance with Additional Policies: Your use of Remix is also governed by our Terms of Use and additional policies. We encourage you to review these documents to better understand the rules that enhance your experience and protect both you and the community.
Handling Offensive Content: Despite best efforts, AI-generated prompts may occasionally produce offensive content. If you encounter such content, please use the three-dot button to select 'Not Interested' and 'Report'. Choosing 'Not Interested' will help tailor your 'For You' feed to better suit your preferences, while 'Report' assists us in maintaining community standards.
